An Afternoon of Mindfulness

Patti Essig

Begin with mindful breathing, the stable, solid ground in which we take refuge. Sitting meditation is like returning home to give full attention to and care for ourselves. With each step of walking meditation we arrive in the here and now, becoming solid and free. We find we are capable of walking in peace. Mindfulness fosters increased health and vitality.
Bring: journal, cushion and whatever makes you comfortable.
Patti has fashioned this mindfulness program on her retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh.
