Thus QiGong equals working with life energy. This practice is a training in body/mind self regulation.
We can keep our internal energy strong and healthy by developing the skills of QiGong. Our world may be struggling for peace, but together we can learn to create peace within.

Embodied MythLaura Lewis-Barr |
Embodied Myth is a depth group process that uses world literature to explore our inner world and our connection to the world around us. Through Embodied Myth, we gain a greater understanding of what is moving in us--under the surface of life. Using the myth as a tool, a guide, and a safe structure we reconnect with unrecognized parts of ourselves. In each session we will read a different fairytale and through reflection, discussion and simple enactments we will encounter the healing wisdom hidden in the story. Come to one session or all; each workshop is independent of the others. No experience is necessary. Laura Lewis-Barr is an award winning playwright, theatre director, and teacher. Before getting her MA in Drama, Laura pursued a Masters in Psychology. She was the Artistic Director/Professor of Theatre at Sauk Valley College in Dixon and Artistic Director of Inspirare Theatre in Gley Ellyn. During the day, Laura combines her love of theatre, psychology and education in her work as a corporate trainer at Training4Breakthroughs. Contact Loretto Center at 630-653-7918. |
