Scripture WiFi: A Wireless Fideltiy Connection between God, Young Adults, and Scripture

IBVM Sisters and anyone who comes

Scripture WiFi is a way of praying with Scripture so that the Word of God comes alive in our hearts and more deeply influences the reality of our lives. This Scripture-based evening prayer uses the Lectio Divina format. Reading a Gospel passage aloud slowly and thoughtfully allows participants a time for silence and listening to God’s Word, a time for listening to others and how God’s Word affects them, and a time to share your personal thoughts on the meaning that the Gospel has for you.

Nancy Kennelly, IBVM
Lynne Kornecki
Julie Stapleton, IBVM

God has a dream for everyone. Discernment is one of the ways that helps us discover and uncover God’s dream for us. Join us for a morning “tea” and discover how you can discern your “cup of life” and invite God into your decision-making. Lynne Kornecki, massage therapist, will introduce the mind, body, spirit connection of discernment. Sister Nancy Kennelly, IBVM, pastoral associate and spiritual director, will talk about what discernment is and how we experience it throughout our lives. Julie Stapleton, IBVM, will describe the labyrinth prayer path. Also experience these aids to discernment: quiet prayer in the chapel, journaling, paraffin hand dip, hand massage, flavored tea and coffee.

To register, contact: Clarie Vandborg, IBVM at Loretto Center, 630-868-2904, or email vocation@ibvm.us

Introduction to Sacred Contracts:
Awakening Your Divine Potential

Donna Kline
Linda Plamondon

Choice is your greatest power . . . an even greater power than love. - Carolyn Myss (mystic, pioneer in energy medicine, and author of Sacred Contracts)
In this basic introductory hands-on workshop, we will incorporate Carolyn Myss's teachings on sacred contracts and archetypes. We are all guided by the contracts that our souls made before we were born while the archetypes are our support team. You will begin to identify your own archetypal energies and to learn to see your life symbolically. In this particular workshop, we will specifically focus on the archetype of the Child and the unique energies we each personally bring to it. Join us for a day of creativity, healing, and self-empowerment.

Instructors: Donna Kline, RN, LMT, CHTP, is a Body/Energy Worker, an Archetypal Consultant trained by Caroline Myss and a graduate of CMED. Linda Plamondon, MPS, MACP:AT, CADC, is an Art Therapist, Spiritual Director, and certified addictions counselor.
